Chante Fourie

Chante is a New Zealand qualified solicitor, holding a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Economics) from the University of Auckland.

Prior to joining MFB, Chante worked as solicitor in the shipping department of a prominent New Zealand law firm. She acts for shipowners, charterers, and commodity traders and has experience advising on a variety of matters including cargo recoveries, claims for hull and machinery, demurrage, and sale of goods disputes.  

She is passionate about maritime law and while practicing in New Zealand was a proactive member of the Maritime Association of Australia and New Zealand (MLAANZ) and the Women’s International Shipping and Trade Association (WISTA).
