CJ advises shipping industry clients on all aspects of commercial litigation and arbitration, in particular disputes arising from charterparties, bills of lading, ship sale and purchase, ship finance, piracy, trading disputes and sanctions. CJ has extensive experience in English Commercial Court and Court of Appeal, and of working on LMAA and LCIA arbitrations. Her clients include P&I Clubs, owners, traders, charterers and finance institutions whom she acts for in contentious and non-contentious matters including injunctive relief and recovery via vessel arrests, worldwide freezing orders, anti-suit injunctions and asset tracing.

CJ qualified in August 2020 with a City law firm in the shipping department, having trained and worked in its London and New York offices. She joined MFB in 2025.

CJ is fluent in Korean.
