Gareth Thompson

Gareth handles a wide variety of wet and dry shipping disputes for shipowners, charterers, marine insurers, commodities traders and cargo interests.

Gareth's experience extends to all forms of international arbitration and handling cases in the High Court, Admiralty Court and Court of Appeal. Recently, Gareth acted for a client in a high value collision case in the Admiralty Court (MV Pacific Pearl Co Ltd v NYK Orpheus Corporation and Another – [2022] EWHC 2828 (Admlty)).

He also has experience of working inhouse at an IG P&I Club handling a broad range of P&I and FDD matters.

In addition, Gareth assists clients with transactional matters including ship sales and purchases, newbuilding contracts and superyacht sales and purchases.
