Kate joined MFB in 2024, having spent 6 years at a specialist maritime and commercial firm in the City of London.

Kate qualified as a solicitor in 2021, and has experience in handling a broad range of shipping disputes, with a particular focus on charterparty disputes (bareboat, time and voyage) and disputes arising under sale contracts and bills of lading. Some areas of knowledge include off-hire, underperformance, cancellation/repudiation, laytime and demurrage, cargo claims and bunker quality disputes.

Kate has acted for clients in London and International arbitrations under LMAA, LCIA and SCMA rules.
