Oliver McGaw

Oliver qualified in 2018 and specialises in international commercial dispute resolution for clients in the shipping sector.

He has represented a variety of clients including ship-owners, charterers, P&I Clubs and freight-forwarding companies in both the English High Court and international arbitration under a range of institutional rules. Oliver previously spent 5 months on secondment with the European FD&D team at Steamship Mutual.

His experience includes, inter alia, charterparty disputes, bill of lading disputes, cargo damage claims and MOA disputes. Oliver also advises on non-contentious matters (e.g. revising proforma Contract of Affreightment terms for a mining client and drafting a bespoke Infectious and Contagious Diseases Clause).
