Simon was educated at Southampton University and BPP Law School, London. He qualified in 2005 having completed his training at a shipping and commercial litigation firm in the City of London and he joined MFB in 2007 and became a partner in 2014.

Simon’s practice areas include disputes arising under charterparties and COAs, bill of lading disputes, MOA disputes, P&I and Defence work, disputes arising under ship management contracts, cargo claims, marine insurance and maritime arbitration.

Simon acts principally for ship owners, charterers, P&I Clubs and other insurers, ship operators, ship managers, commodity traders and ship suppliers. Simon has extensive experience of maritime arbitration (including LMAA, GAFTA, UNCITRAL, SCMA and SIAC) and of litigation in the High Court.

Simon is a recommended lawyer in The Legal 500 2021 rankings.
