Vaughan Wise-Dolpire

Vaughan is a dual qualified solicitor in both South Africa and England and Wales.

Having begun his legal career in South Africa, where he specialised in various maritime litigation matters, including security arrests, judicial sales and High Court proceedings, Vaughan joined a specialist shipping law firm in the City of London while undertaking the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme and qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in early 2017. Vaughan joined MFB Solicitors in late 2017.

Vaughan has a vast experience in all areas of International trade and transportation with particular emphasis on dry shipping litigation, having handled a wide range of disputes for Owners, Charterers, Cargo Interests and their respective insurers in both London Arbitration and the High Court.

Vaughan has advised on and handled numerous disputes arising out of charterparties, booking notes, bills of lading, pooling agreements and sales contracts. These include amongst other things cargo shortage/contamination claims, bad bunker disputes, hire and delivery / redelivery disputes.
